Playing to Win
Detroit Pistons point guard Chauncey Billups at his best
I'm a Detroit Pistons fan. Staying in Michigan since the past 3 years, I think I became a fan by default. And the increasingly amazing performance by Pistons since these past 3 years makes me cheer for them louder each year!
If you follow basketball, you might know that Pistons were trailing the Miami Heat team 2-to-1 (in best of 7). Could they tie the series in game 4? Could they beat the Heat and their mighty Shaq and Dwayne "Flash" Wade?
Pistons not only beat Heat, but they beat them by a good margin!
While watching the post game interviews of the players, Chauncey Billups made a very good remark that I think is worth sharing... and I'm paraphrasing here...
"You have to play to win. Not... play to not lose. In game 2 & 3, we played to not lose... and lost. Today we played to win." - Chauncey Billups (on the reason they lost game 2 & 3, but won game 4.)
Play to win. Not... play to not lose! Its a subtle difference of words, but a huge difference in attitude!
Action Summary:
- Don't think about surviving. Think about prospering.
- Don't provide good service in fear of losing clients. Provide awsome service to win their hearts!
